Qualifications and Professional membership

My name is Sarah Gascoyne I am an Integrative Psychotherapist accredited by the UKCP. I offer a professional service adhering to the ethical codes of conduct as a professional member of both the UKCP and the the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute Ltd in Nottingham (SPTI). I receive clinical supervision by a UKCP registered supervisor on a regular basis. I have full professional indemnity insurance.

I have fifteen years experience working with and supporting people who have suffered or been impacted by acts of domestic violence (physical and/or emotional), sexual abuse and child abuse. I have also worked with and supported people who are going through relationship difficulties and are going through the process of separation through to divorce.

I worked for two years within a charitable organisation supporting people who have suffered bereavement. I have particular experience working with people who have suffered bereavement as a result of suicide and traumatic sudden death.

I have recently developed a particular interest in working with people who are experiencing unhealthy eating patterns/eating disorders and the impact this has on their emotional health, as well as their physical health. I have a certificate in Nutritional Interventions For Eating Disorders and am currently working to further my knowledge and expertise in this area on the Master Practitioner Programme, Eating Disorders & Obesity with  the National Centre for Eating Disorders.
